Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc. (HTA) announces the initial launch of a new outreach web site in support of our commitment to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.
The purpose of this website is to create a resource center to promote our specific educational programs and participation in U.S. STEM initiatives. Our key program utilizes electron microscopy to motivate and engage students in science. The primary objectives of the website include:
  • Create a resource center for educators to obtain and share STEM related teaching tools
  • Highlight electron microscopy and the TM3000 as a tool for STEM
  • Promote and track our STEM initiatives and events
Upon this initial launch, the overall site design “look and feel” is complete. We anticipate adding final functionality requirements (teaching tools/ events filtering, login/registration and content management) within August, 2012.

STEM education is critical to the future of our country. By 2018, experts predict the U.S. will have 1.2 million job openings in STEM-related occupations—but only 200,000 new graduates will have the skills to fill them. We can do better. We can’t miss this chance to change the future. HTA is working to inspire a new generation of achievement in STEM education. It’s more important than ever.
